The Open House at Cimarron was a beautiful day with the opportunity to spend time with dealers, tour the production facility, discuss products, quote trailers with the Cimarron software, and learn trailer maintenance procedures.

The reception at the elegant Waterford Hotel was a great opportunity to meet old friends and begin new relationships. Everyone enjoyed the “Survivor” theme. (yes, Robbie did wear shorts and flip-flops!) The evening was highlighted with a series of five tribal challenges. Four teams of dealers tested their skills and fiercely competed for gifts from the Cimarron Closet!

Sales skills were sharpened by Bob Oros, our guest speaker for the conference. Mr. Oros shared his sales experiences with the crowd and challenged everyone to enhance their selling and buying techniques. He emphasized that our customers have what they need, and that our job was to help them buy what they want! Mr. Oros presented simple, easy to understand selling procedures that can be used by every salesperson.

The Cimarron Closet was open for business throughout the day. We have organized a complete clothing line available to our dealers. The clothing information (including an order form) was included in an information packet and on the Cimarron CD that was passed out.

Fiber-Tech roof material representative Tom Allen gave an informational presentation about the construction and benefits of our new roof material.

Jeremy Davis from AL-KO Kober (our axle supplier) presented everyone with information on the axle manufacturing process and fielded questions from dealers on axles, brakes, bearings, and maintenance.

Warranty procedures, policies, and positive features were presented by Ben. A new and improved electronic warranty claim form was introduced as well as a spreadsheet of information pertaining to purchased component warranties. Dealer should share this new information with your Service Manager and Warranty Coordinator.

Lunde Lift (hydraulic jacks) representative Andy Ackerman educated the crowd on the benefits of the Lunde brand jack. Additionally he provided simple trouble-shooting techniques and discussed warranty procedures.

The advantages of STI Air-Ride Suspensions were presented by Dave Croston. This information is included in the STI booklet.

New Cimarron Marketing Tools were introduced by Carol. Three new Cimarron Trailers Posters, six new ad slicks, and over forty trailer “cut-outs” for ad use were presented. The Cimarron Closet was introduced and is now 100% co-op approved. Internet advertising was also added to the Co-Op program. Finally, Carol introduced a new addition to the Cimarron website for customer “pictorial testimonials.” This new feature will be coming soon to our website.

Trailer Locator Resource was introduced by Jeff & Chad Hester (Hester Website Designs). This exciting new addition to the Cimarron Website will be for exclusive use by Cimarron Dealers. Dealers will be able to login with a user name and password. The Trailer Locator Resource was designed for “Dealer Trades” of new & used Cimarron Trailers and other used trailers. Dealers are responsible for loading your trailers on the website, and this information is only available to Cimarron Dealers. We feel that this will be a great tool and will enable our dealers to move aged inventory, locate trailers quickly for customers, and help market your used trailers. Please contact Misty Westfall at Cimarron to obtain a user name and password.

Cimarron Trailers Sales Review and Trailer Trends was presented by Robbie. All of this information was again included in the packet you are receiving. The sales figures show great information on the popular selling models and will help you determine what types of trailers to inventory. Additionally, there was a new option sheet to include in your price book.

Tribal Vision was the final topic for the day. Michael presented a complete summary of Cimarron’s history, mission statement, responsibilities, goals, growth, and vision. He emphasized our appreciation of our dealers and our sincere desire to partner with each dealer to be successful together.

A Trolley ride to the Myriad Botanical Gardens in downtown Oklahoma City set the stage for a wonderful final evening together. The Myriad Gardens is a Tropical Rain Forest setting with thousands of varieties of plants. Cocktails and appetizers were served as everyone visited throughout the Gardens. The banquet meal was followed by the presentation of awards for the Million Dollar Dealers, the Rookie Dealer of the Year, and for the Dealer with the largest increase in Sales.

The evening wrapped up with the Burtschi Brothers Band entertaining everyone back at the Waterford Hotel. It was a great way to end the evening with everyone enjoying the music and the fellowship together. |
